A Study on the Relationship Between Mothers´ Locus of Control in Personality and Children´s Problem Behaviors.

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study is to investigate relation between children´s problem behaviors and their mothers´ locus of control in personality and various influencing variables.
This study was performed with 164 mothers of one elementary school in T city from 4.1, 1991 to 4.15, 1991.
Data were analyzed by the means, percentage, standard deviations, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation.
The results of this study are as follows
Mothers´ locus of control in personality and children´s problem behaviors. There were no significant differences.
There were significant differences in 9 factors(psychosomatic, social withdrawal factor etc) according to the types of child rearing methods.
There were significant differences in 2 factors (obsessive, emotional unstable factor) according to the types of temperament.
There was a significant difference in children´s problem behaviors relating to general characteristics, according to such factors as the family number, status of economic living, mother´s educational level, religion, order, school grade.
